Morocco wrote World Cup history as the first African and Arab country to reach the tournament’s semi-finals.

For a lot of expatriates or youth, born and/or raised in other parts of the world, this event was not only a sporting success but also a moral comeback from lots of discrimination suffered living abroad. Both the African and Arab communities, regardless of the country of origin, took to the streets and celebrated together this occasion. These photos were taken in Bologna, Italy, home of one of the biggest Arab and African communities in Italy.
